The Challenge
Being deeply driven is both a gift and a curse. That inner fire fuels growth, hunger, and high standards, but it can just as easily become pressure, noise, and self-doubt. When desire runs the show, we lose touch with the instinct and freedom that make us great. The same drive that sets us apart can also turn on us - unless we learn to lead it, not just feed it.
What if the key to unlocking your potential is less about effort and more about ease?
The most driven athletes carry the heaviest weight.
Today’s ‘high-performance’ environments are more structured, controlled and visible than ever. An athlete walks into technical analysis, tactical reviews, fitness tests, physio screenings, psychological assessments, media training and much more. Yet this doesn’t always result in performance under pressure, and athletes are quietly paying the price. Underneath the systems and stats, we see rising disconnection, anxiety, and loss of meaning. The game is still there, but the joy often isn’t.
How do you get the best out of yourself, without losing your instinct and freedom?
Professionalism has a dark side.
As humans, we are biologically wired to detect threats to our safety and belonging, an instinct that’s deeply rooted in our survival mechanisms. When left unchecked, this fear response can hijack our performance, clouding our judgment and limiting our potential. However, that very same biological reaction can fuel us into a flow state. With the right tools, what once felt like a barrier becomes a powerful driver of performance.
What if your emotions aren’t something to change, but something to channel?
We are biologically wired for fear
How We Help
At the heart of the Inside Edge Project is building a strong foundation as a human, before chasing external goals. We believe your worth isn’t something you earn through performance, it’s something you carry into it. When you're grounded in who you are, you free up energy for presence, instinct and flow. That's when pressure stops being a threat, and starts becoming your edge. More importantly, this is how performance and wellbeing work together, not against each other.
As part of our mentoring program you will have access to a coach that is 100% there for you, no matter what high-performance program you’re involved in. You will work through 3 components that lay the foundation for your inside edge:
Perspective: Who Are You?
Dive into your unique journey to unearth your natural strengths & values. Understand how both your inner-critic and inner-fan impact your performance. Build a strong foundation based on something no one can take away from you: who you are.
Mic Drop Moments

Michael Hussey, Episode 7
“You talk about going too far, I definitely crossed that line…my only default was to go back to working harder and putting more pressure on myself. That kept building up on me. There was that breaking point where it had a huge detrimental effect.”

Corey Rocchiccioli, Episode 16
“The moment I stopped chasing was the moment I could actually get to where I wanted to be. I think that served as a big reminder that if I stopped chasing the ideal and just be me, I’ll get it in the way I’m deserving and the universe will let me get that.”

Mignon Du Preez
“I let little Minx down. Cricket becoming my job stole the enjoyment factor. Am I still good enough to be here? I felt embarrassed. But I learnt it is ok. Go back to the reason I started playing. I love the game. I get to do it with my best friends and I can do it with a smile on my face.”

Peter Clarke (Cricket Australia Psychologist)
“You just want to get to the point of acceptance…life is 10% what you make it and 90% how you take it. You spend you energy on the 10% of what you make it, you’ve got the best change to be able to respond to the 90%."

Drewe Broughton, Episode 4
“I’d surrendered. I’d surrendered to the pressure, to my utter powerlessness over anything that was going to happen out there other than sweat and the ability to be myself. Whatever will be, will be.”

James Bracey
“It’s about doing everything I can to be in a good place off the field. Because when I feel that way the stuff on the field becomes more instinctive and natural. We talk about when you’re relaxed and off your instincts, you play at your best.”

Viv Paver
“We get so distracted by winning because of how it cultivates a perception of us. What you actually want to do is stand in front of the ball, amidst a bunch of variables or ‘pressure’ and opt for courage.”
"I was a player who was venturing on the verge of almost hating cricket altogether. Being stuck in my own head and listening to external ‘noise’, was affecting my performance on-field and the person I was off-field.
Bhavi helped me to bring back my love of the game and rediscover why I play. She introduced me to the concept of post traumatic growth and embracing my imperfections. Accepting what is in my control with an emphasis on recognising ‘What’s important now’ in relation to the game. As well as strategies to overcome the negative self talk and distractions that ultimately hinders performance.
This allowed me to reflect and find purpose as a cricketer, as well as an individual and positively translated into my performance on-field and attitude off-field."
Erin Carroll – Victoria U19, Premier Cricket Captain
"Bhavi has a wealth of knowledge relating to the mental side of the game and her holistic approach towards helping other athletes achieve their fullest potential is of an outstanding credit.
Her humble and selfless nature is evident in the lengths she goes to, to help athletes and people like myself be the very best versions of themselves.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without her guidance."
Erin Carroll – Victoria U19, Premier Cricket Captain
“I changed my mindset and footwork today and got 142no!!”
ECB County Player
“Hi Bhavi, I got 106no yesterday. It was a real struggle until 60, but I found it very helpful to implement our three things adn bring it back to my process. From there it just flowed”
Australia U19 State & First Grade Player
“Thanks for guiding me through a tough tour. In the last game I had to apply everything I learned from the mental side and managed to come through well. I don’t regret anything as it is a huge learning.”pful to implement our three things adn bring it back to my process. From there it just flowed”
